PUTERI MAS was founded 14 years ago by Chef Irene Lim. Born from a Peranakan family, Irene has always been fascinated with the delicacies the culture has and also picked up some of the traditional recipes from her Nonya mother, Mdm Soon Neo. Her Golden Durian Puffs that are famous were concocted by Irene herself and that is why her Durian Puff pastry is soft and palatable. And ever since then, her passion for producing good food has never waned. Being an accomplished chef she is today, she gives praise to GOD for all that she is able to do. She believes in the joy that will bring smiles to people’s faces when they enjoy her products and that is her way of spreading out that doing things with love is of the utmost importance to bring out the best. True to this point, Irene has produced many types of products sold in her shops to which all are enjoyed and loved by many including her own family. Now joined by her son in the business, Regan is also looking to learning and achieving that level of passion of his mother’s. Together they will bring you the enjoyment and satisfaction of eating a good product be it their Golden Durian Puffs or their cakes and other assortment of love-made goodies or even maybe their delicious authentic Peranakan dishes in the future.
